HILLSDALE – Hillsdale College says it and four other colleges will compete in a different athletic conference starting in two years.
Hillsdale announced today that it will play in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference beginning July 1, 2017. It now plays in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The school It says other schools joining the conference are the University of Findlay, Walsh University, Lake Erie College and Ohio Dominican University.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference now includes Cedarville University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Trevecca Nazarene University, Ursuline College, Alderson Broaddus University, Davis & Elkins College, Ohio Valley University and Salem International University. Malone University plans to join in 2016.
Hillsdale says it will remain in NCAA Division II and will maintain its current athletic programs.
