Ghosts to blame? Backhoe found in Lake Michigan

 
It's a mystery how a backhoe was found in Lake Michigan
   
OAK CREEK, WI (KTRK) --
Police in Wisconsin are trying to find out how a huge backhoe ended up in Lake Michigan.

Some locals are blaming ghosts.

Highway workers spotted the backhoe in the lake with icicles dripping from it on Monday.

Police believe the $500,000 piece of equipment was driven off a bluff.
