Who likes the Winter Olympics? People in states that get a ton of snow, of course. Television viewers in the Iron Range and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula were most likely to tune in to the opening ceremonies in Sochi, according to viewership data collected by Rentrak.
 

Here’s what the data look like. Red means higher-than-average viewership, while blue means lower-than-average viewership. Seems like viewers in the South were far less interested in the opening ceremonies:
