OLYMPIC UPDATE  

 

FORMER NMU QB PHIL KESSEL  HAS TWO KIDS COMPETING IN SOCHI

 



Phil Kessel, Sr. (pictured above) had a Hall of Fame career as a QB at NMU in the late 70's and early 80s. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins and was with the team for a year.  His daughter Amanda played for the Minnesota Gophers and is currently playing for team USA in Sochi.

Phil Jr. also had a stand-out career for the Gophers and he had a couple of goals for Team USA in their opener against Slovakia.
He currently plays for the Maple Leafs.
