The Lions, with a top ten (10) pick mind you, took a guy who ran track at BYU, got cut from the basketball team, and has played three (3) years of organized football in his life, and only one of them as a starter.   

 

Unless he is a year-in, year-out Pro Bowler, he's a bust because they probably could have gotten him in a later round or taken a lower risk player at a position of high need. 

Take note, the Lions did not clean house when they fired Matt Millen. They promoted his understudy Martin Mayhew.

 

The Lions are bums. They have always been bums (at least since they traded Bobby Layne and the Ford Family bought them) and they will always be bums.
